So whats your favorite game music?

I like a lot of DDR songs
Street Fighter 2- Ken's stage
Simple & Clean, Kingdom Hearts

It has evrything you could possibily want in a music album, but the thing is, its a GAME.

EA seems to throw some random good songs in with the crap. ATV Off Road Fury 2 has some really good music. Korn, lostprophets, Alien Ant Farm.

The Rome Total War music is pretty damn good. And I am going with ghost when I say that GTA has to be one of the best.

Vice City forever! '80s music rox! And I, for one, DO like the Halo theme, glad to see it survived to Halo 2.

Tho for some games (like NFS:U2

) I turn off the in-game soundtrack and rock out to some Led Zeppelin and Steppenwolf!

Tetris (Korobeiniki is teh pwn)
NFS 3 (that one main menu techno song gets me every time)
Vice City
Hitman series (Jasper Kyd is teh pwn too)
Initial D Arcade Stage (my one quirk)
Duke Nukem 3D (could be just for Grabbag alone)
UT Series

--middle of the list--
Halo
DDR (they need to take all the DDR cabinets, get rid of DDR, and put tetris on them instead so you can play with monster bass and footpad arrow keys)

--skipping to the bottom of the list--
NFSU2 (even the first game had some decent Crystal Method & Rob Zombie to save it)
Burnout 3 (sorry, indie rock sucks hard)

While I quite like the music in NFSU1/2, it's original music in a game that I really like.

Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 got Harry Gregson-Williams involved to do the music, an acclaimed file score composer who's done music for many films including Shrek 2, Team America: World Police, Phone Booth, The Rundown, Chicken Run, The Replacement Killers, and is currently working on new films by Tony Scott (Domino) and Ridley Scott (Kingdom of Heaven).

Also, from way back in the PC speaker days (1988!), there was a little game from Accolade called Grand Prix Circuit that I can still remember the 'music' from, and that's saying something!

GTA3, VC (gotta love some of those radio channels) and World Racing.

Plus, I've heard some pretty nice remixes of Tetris and some old C64 games.
