Haha. Cingular has the best coverage and great prices. The d407 I got was pretty much free thanks to the agent. He cut me a nice deal.

What I like the most is you get unlimited minutes to talk with other Cingular customers no matter how far away.

Motorola KRZR K1! Neat thingy and it's better than the RAZR feature-wise. Only thing is that its screen is a little smaller. Probably by 2-4 mm?

The RIZR wasn't a choice for a third phone in our family plan. And I've never seen the RIZR before. Meh.

When I was looking for a phone, I considered the RAZR, but then I saw that everyone had it. I hate having something everybody else has, so I bought the Samsung Blackjack. Such an awesome phone.

I wanted a KRZR but it was to expenisve and my dad didn't want me to have an MP3 phone, so I got a RAZR and Alltel told him I would have to buy as SD Card to hold the music so he let me get it thinking I wouldn't have the money to buy one.... let's just say, my 1GB will be here on wednsday.

I got some pics of my RAZR. And yes, the cat that got locked in the garage is in the background licking herself.

So do like I did and buy your own. At first I was going to get an A900 Power Vision Phone from sprint, but we couldn't order it online and it's $200 without the $170 online discount. I was afraid to buy a RAZR because everyone had one, but when I went and looked there weren't any nice MP3 phones in my price range... then I saw the RAZR and couldn't help but get it. I wanted a fire but it was $20 more than the silver.

EDIT: The way I justified to myself buying a phone that everyone else had was by buying things to make it uniqe and different to stand out... like that custom case or the headset I'm going to buy.

That case is niiiice.

Plus the other reason my parents wanted me to have one (Something like a RAZR) is because it has GPS so If I get lost while I'm with the boyscouts or something they can find me.

My RAZR has 1GB of memory. I have the V3m (the only 3rd gen that can have SD Cards.)

The V3i (cheaper than the V3m) also has mini SD card support.

Anyways...I guess I'm like the oldest person here who doesn't have a cellphone. I definitely have the money to buy an unlocked GSM phone, I'm just waiting for that one perfect phone. A black Razr V3i is $300 CDN but I'm waiting until the Motorola Z6 and Z8 are coming out. I would have went directly to the LG Chocolate (if only it had SD expansion slot).

Alltel won't carry the V3i.

I'm gettin my phone just because my parents decided to add an extra line just cause it was only +$10 a month. I'm really hyped. I didn't want a RAZR because I read that people liked the KRZR better and that the RAZR is everywhere these days. Looks too boring now.

the razr is to phones as the ipod is to mp3 players they are verywhere and people seem to think they are the best out there. my dad just got a v3m and it is nothing compared to my mm-9000.

and that 1 gb of memory is internal

if you can afford a KRZR go for it... I would have gotten one but they are SO EXPENISVE. Now I'm stuck with this RAZR for two more years.

I still have more when you count my 512 Internal memory. $\:D/$
And mine is one suped up phone and can blow yours away... does your have live TV? Does it have XM radio? Does it have unlimited web access? Can you listen to your favorite music wirelessly without disrupting your imprtant phone call?

Sadly I only have around 9-10MB memory (When the "undeleteable" stuff is off; only 5 when it's on) so I can only get 4-5 songs on it..
