Hmm, well this one was released 9 or 10 months ago, so I don't know if you would consider that part of the newer generation. I have read a couple of comments regarding Nokia phones having some problems, though. Any idea what kind of problems they are reporting?
Surely, they couldn't be as bad as the phone freezing every few minutes while I'm typing a text message (interrupting my train of thought for up to 5 seconds) or having the turn randomly turn off and on or having the vibration not work half the time, meaning I've missed quite a few calls and gotten some late texts.

The usual Nokia OS shouldn't give much of a problem unlike its Symbian cousins. I own a 4-year old Nokia 5300, and the only problem I had was the navigation keys; it wouldn't go to the left and up if I pressed on the buttons. Software wise, it has never hung or failed on me before.

i just got an env3 a couple months ago, the only thing that sucks is that i cant use normal earphones with it, i need earphones with a 2.5mm connector/jack

I'm probably going to end up purchasing a Nokia E71 after some research and comparing it to the phones I was looking at previously, as the price is cheaper than I had anticipated. I've heard little to nothing bad about the E71.

The E71 is pretty nice. A friend of mine has one, I enjoy using it apart from all the Blackberrys and other common phones I end up using.
I have a Sidekick Slide atm. I'll be soon getting a G1 though (HTC Dream), Love me some Android.

Got myself a HTC Android not too long ago, absolutely mint phone.
Was a massive upgrade from my old HTC Diamond Touch, heh.

Just bought an LG GS290 "Cookie Fresh".
Aside from the camera, it's a massive improvement in every way over my G800.

Got myself a Blackberry Bold 9700 and it's amazing. Great feedback coming from the keyboard, nice res screen, the trackpad feels great and the leather battery cover is just cool.
Great overall device.
I'll post some pics later, too.
