Well of course Ug2 was ok, and hopefully I WILL like MW but I really got addicted to High stakes.
More Like "High."
So Ug2 wasn't all good. -6-
So far this is how much I like MW. -9-
And high stakes. -8-

Seems like this website is a ghost town. No longer worth a visit or anyone's time.

It was before that. NFS High Stakes had "3 Packages" for every car in Career Mode. Each package would make your car perform better and changed spoilers and stuff like that. It was minor but very cool indeed. No ricer stuff like in UG.Morty wrote:Not really, NFS Porsche had both engine tuning, and you could add stripes on the cars. NFS porsche you could not only add stripes but some cars you could change the bumpers etc
and In NFS HS, in the carreer mode you had 3 upgrade/tuning levels for each car where the performance was upped and the exterior changed aswell but you did not have a choice what to change!
edit: 2furio was ahead of me... LOL
btw the poll places U2 as the best.. that is soooo lame... it is in fact the worse game of all.. it wasn't inovating and had no real feel to it...

Well I must say that NFSU is one of my favourites, probably right behind NFSPU and TNFS. It was fast, great graphics, great music and the optional customization. Carrer was intense, short but fast races, and with the two very hard races, completing them really made you feel good.
It means something that I finished NFSU 3 times and NFSU2 only once.

Porsche Unleashed is my favourite followed by HP1. I loved those 3D cockpits in PU and the handling. I used love trawling the net for the coolest custom posches that people had made, but since we can kinda customize the cars in the new games I've lost the urge to do that
To me:
NFS1: good
NFS2: pants
HP1: great
NFSHS: good
NFSPU: great
HP2: quite pants
NFSU: great
NFSU2: quite pants

lets see my list:
NFS 1: Can't really tell... I never played it longer then 5 minutes without getting a headache.
NFS 2: Game not so good intro movie was the best!
NFS 3 HP: Was great! gfx was top for the time!
NFS 4 HS: My personal favorite, it was NFS 3 so it was great but with more cars more tracks and upped gfx... so what more do you want...
NFS 5 PU: Great game close second in the list. damage models where great, handling pretty realistic and tracks really nfs like.. although 90% was sprint races only Monaco was circuit. and it has loads of Porsche's!
NFS 6 HP2: can't tell haven't played it!
NFS 7 UG: something completely diffirent from the other NFS games but it was original and loads of fun. it has everything (exept cops and damage ) you expect from a NFS game, so High speeds, traffic dodging and crazy short cuts and good tracks. only thing was the pretty small list of cars and some cars werent the right choice...
NFS 8 UG2: had high expectations but it was not what I expected it to be... it was to easy there where no real challenging races, most tracks where long and not as well figured out as NFS UG. The Free roam was nice and the car list better... if they had free roam (and the U2 carlist) in U1 it would be the perfect NFS U! In short it just did not have the feel that U1 had

OMG I am so on your side! I agree on this completely. The atmosphere and the street appearance in UG1 really brought out the Underground racing experience!TheStig wrote:NFS 8 UG2: had high expectations but it was not what I expected it to be... it was to easy there where no real challenging races, most tracks where long and not as well figured out as NFS UG. I voted NFSU2, maybe be because I just bought it, Yeah I know Im late. But, right now I like the free roaming mode, I like having more of a story line in a racing game. I hear others say that it gets dry after a while.
I've been a NFS fan for a while... since the first game. In that game Toyota Supra was the best C class car in the game.
The only NFS game I didn't get was Motor City... due to a pay service game, which I refuse to due for any game.
