NFS Carbon: Hex Editing [Tips & Tricks]

How to add cars to the car shop!

First of all you need NFSC Collectors Edition to be able to unlock some of the cars.
Unlocker and Save Tool/Fixer: Save Editor By: CoDe RiPPeR (C) 2006

OK i hope this will clarify a bit how to add cars to the shop so you can buy it and have it in your garage, this way to add it in to the shop first is the foolproof way to add cars in NFS games. I have made an example to add the Audi R8 but you can add what ever car you have the hex code for.

1. Start the game and go to your profile, Alt/Tab back to windows.
2. Start TSearch and open NFS.exe
3. Search for D43C67F8 D43C67F8 (after F8 it shall have 01 that is the Brera in the car shop).
4. Replace Breras D43C67F8 D43C67F8 with Audi's 2C327487 2C327487.
5. Go back in to the game without closing TSearch and go to the car shop and buy the Audi, if you haven't unlocked everything in the game you need to use a trainer to unlock temporary or you want see the Audi.
6. Take the Audi back to the garage and Alt/Tab back to windows, now change back the the code to Brera again so that the car shop is like it was in the start.
7. Go back in to the game without closing TSearch and save the game, and now you have the Audi in your garage (now you can close TSearch).

Notify also, that you can get BMW easier way back (if you have unlocked everything, not otherwise), when you do this:

1. Start NFSC (if you're starting your first Career by now, go and get your first car, like RX-8)
2. Go to Free roam
3. ALT+TAB to Desktop
4. Start TSearch
5. Now look for 4E4ACC23 B35F084E 10000F00 FFFF0000 and exchange it to 4E4ACC23 B35F084E 11000F00 FFFF0000

Now you should have BMW on your Car slot and on your Quick race. You didn't have to overwrite any car.

EDIT: Made easier, thanks STAT-X.

Maybe you could try something out for me (I'm at work now so I can't).
Instead of changing the 01 to 10, try changing it to 11. I think the BMW should be available now in both the Carshop and in Bonus Cars.
Let me know if this works.

NOTE!

There is a way to get BMW back permanently by putting it to the Car lot, but because there is not yet NFSC savegame fixer it can't be done.

This doesn't work you just move the car back and forth, and you don't overwrite any car in the way i explained you just temporary replace it. When some one makes so you can do a check-sum then we can change the car direct in the garage instead.

@ STAT-X: It doesn't work.

Yabol:

More detailed info on searching for new people using Tsearch!

I am using Deafault Setting in Tsearch.

1) Open Tsearch
2) Open Process!
3) Then Open NFSC.exe! (From Process Button.)
4) Then Goto Hview! (Click It)
5) Then 1st eye glass (not one with ...) Click 1st One!
6) In search box D43C67F8 D43C67F8 Then Click search Button!
7) Replace Breras D43C67F8 D43C67F8 with Audi's 2C327487 2C327487.
8) Follow the rest of Ceano steps.

Thanks Ceano For the details on doing this Great Job! Easy Easy Easy :)

At Ceano, yeah, sorry, I forgot to mention, that you MUST buy BMW to keep it and have it unlocked on Quick race, then it stays in Career on "Select cars". And at STAT-X, yes, that 11 worked.

If I could, I would ... but I don't know the first thing 'bout programming and stuff :?
I'm just a simple guy who knows his way around a hex-editor :)

Did you unlock them ingame ??? If you didn't they won't appear in the carlot.

Did you use the trainer or have you unlocked them in the game the real way? if you didn't do anything of those you wont see the cars because they are locked.

The only car you can see in the car shop the first time you visit it in a new career is the Koenigsegg ccX, with out unlock anything the real way or with a trainer.

Well, i already beated the game 100%, so yes, they are unlocked, the weird thing is that i start the game, go to the car shop, and i find the brera there, do the steps as above, and re-enter the carlot, and the brera is gone. :? , and you cant find any replacement there.

Well then you have something left to do in the game anyway, isn't it so that you just have done the career to 100%?

OK but to unlock everything in the game so that you can see everything the whole game must be 100% done, career, quick races and so on.

EDIT: By the way do you have collectors edition? if not some cars cant be unlocked because you have the plain version.
