@blah2

You might go look for something else atm because the mod seems to be dead for now.

why dont you just continue the mod with someone else. heck it'll be a good surprise when he comes back..

We could start a diffirent mod, so when korge wants to start the mod again he can start his own mod.

Look I don't know much about building a game itself, but I do have Ideas and alot of carinfo that's left from AHR

If i could only talk to digi, he's a great coder. Without that I cannot start anything. Good coders are hard to get these days.

I could continue modelling the cars on the list, but if no one else is making any progress..i dont see the point of only me working. :?

You got a point.

I think the best option if we want to continue building a game is to build a spin of, or in other words a completely diffirent game. with some of the Ideas but abit diffirent, I got some Ideas, cause to be honest I think even though the Ideas if Korge where nice they are very hard to realise.
So I think smaller game is a better option.

Wat my suggestion is:
- nice big carlist consisting of a wide range of sportscars from around the world (without double cars, modelingwise the carlsit from korge was nice and not much extra trouble modeling wise (due to the list of double cars) but speclist wise it was alot more trouble.)
- No free roam but fixed tracks (maybe some real life tracks)
- Visual tuning but not overdone so Hoods, bumpers, skirts and spoilers) and lets say 3 to 4 kits but it depens on what is for salle in real life.

And if Korge wants to continue later on with his game like he wants it we can suply him with the knowlage and stuff from this game.

Well what do you think.

Sounds great...but we need a coder to combine all the pieces!
Also the cars which i model are in 3ds format, and i havent a clue how to convert in the format required.
Once thats figured out, i think we'll be back on track.

BTW i heard Ibi is also doing a similar 'HL2 mod', so he might be able to help us :|

I talked with digi. He kind of "hired" me to make maps for his new game on a new engine. Racing too.

Could you give us some links or infos about the new mod?
On what engine it will be?

It's still a very wip. The engine is Source like, but it's not that graphic wise. Forgot the name though. I still have to talk to him.

It's not source. It looks more like stalker or doom3.

Well this is quite sad. I never say this game is dead, but as a mod, i think it is. My hope is to go into business and hire local people in the Atlanta area to code this game. This game is too big for a mod. I just wonder if it will work.

Sorry if I'm kicking this. (It shouldn't be, considering it's only been 2 days.)

This mod is looking rather promising and could actually work as a full game anyway, but either way, looks great. I haven't seen screenshots yet, although I read the notice stating that there will be a media release. That's good news. At least that'll prove this won't be vaporware

If you guys want ideas for the game (although I'm sure you guys are busy just coding the physics engine and such), I have a list of ideas originally designed for posting on the EA forum for NFS and that is thus made for an NFS game, but it will work for any game in general (although you probably won't be able to do everything on this list):

http://www.geocities.com/hkvideogamer/m ... _ideas.htm

Once again, the mod looks great. I'm probably gonna have to buy HL2 just for this :D
