Because it's talking about Car Mods, not just the Skyline and Hummer. Although we should have the name changed, or move to a new thread... without closing this one.

EDIT: I wish I knew how to do this stuff. I would make one of the old Mustangs and a Civic. lol

I'm converting and this one has been such a pain so I don't think that I'm going to make another mod. Also, I don't know how to create cars, just converting, nothing else. If I can find Honda NSX or 99 Subaru WRX, etc. ready model and get rights from creator to use it, then I might do another model. Anyways, it is 99 % chance that I will not do any else model.

Why does it have to be screaming, Xturbo, just call it "NFS MW Custom Car Thread" without the all caps text. It'll look more professional man.

Yes. I made some progress now. Now BMW M3 can have spoiler of a choice on it and hoods can be added, some are still missing and hoods disappear after leaving shop, but I'm working on those. Also, I decided to overwrite CLK 500, so you can tune M3 from performance. That though means I should try to make bodykits for M3 to prevent it going to invisible if CLK 500 has bodykit on, it also affects on M3. I'll post picture later, I don't have time now.

Ok, here you go, a small update.

Image

What I updated:

- tires textures updated
- frontlights have finally got textures (yeah, they aren't working yet but still :D)
- roof scoops can be added and used
- spoilers can be added and used
- hoods can be added but not used (disappears on Free roam/etc;)
- windows have finally gotten texture (when recoloring, kind of stays still in black)
- badging texture added (for some reason shows up white areas as purple )

That's it. I'm not going to get this working 100 % anytime soon, because the lights are one of the hardest ones + I have to make it have scratches, vinyls, decals, hoods and propably performance.

Yep, I did try that but those head/frontlight-texture are the hardest ones to get working on a car. I'll keep trying, but not now, too much school things.

Ok, I managed to get myself more time and here is what you can do now with M3 (85 % complete, these are mostly the ones that are to be used in version 1):

New:

- license plate added & working
- backlights working
- headlights working

Fixed:

- roof scoops can be exchanged & used
- spoilers can be exchanged & used
- rims can be exchanged & used
- all coloring can be exchanged & used

To do:

- fixing mirrors
- tire textures fixing
- badging textures fixing
- vinyls allowed to be used
- replacing BMW M3 GTR titles with BMW M3
- repair driver to have skin (now it is only half of a driver covered in black)

To wait in possible 1.1 version (the one that I'm now going to release is 1.0):

- hoods to be used
- bodykit(s) (still unsure about this)
- decals to be used
- window cover color fixed (now showing as bright white instead of black, only some window colors)
- performance tuning

So this is what I've got at the moment. No picture this time, I'll post pic when I get mirrors fixed. I guess, that this M3 is ready in February 2007. And just to make it clear, this mod overwrites BMW M3 GTR Street so there is not performance tuning on it (yet). I tried to overwrite SL 500, but it came out like this:

- tires couldn't be fixed (wrong positions)
- sounds couldn't be exchanged

Just wait, not so much more to wait anymore. And btw, I can't promise to fix all this to version 1.1, because I'm running out of usable mapping names.
