Removing badges is easy. Using bintex, open Textures.BIN for the car you want to remove badges. Find the two files called BADGING and BADGIN_N. Export them. In Photoshop, make BADGING totally black, and give it a fully black alpha-channel. Then using the nVidia plugin, create a normal map for the image. Save the normal map as BADGING_N. Import these two files back into Textures.BIN and the badging should be gone.

I won't explain it any more. If you're confused, you obviously don't know how to use Photoshop, so go google for some tutorials.

I've seen and helped people modify badges before, so I know it can be done. Make a backup of the file and try it yourself. That way you can always restore the original if you don't like your changes.

This is the nVidia Tools Page. From here, people generally use the plugins for Adobe Photoshop available here. If you don't have Photoshop, there's no reason to despair. A program called DDS Convertor 2 exists that can convert from DDS format to a proprietary format and reconvert the proprietary format back into DDS. While I don't suggest doing it this way, it can save you $600.

You didn't install the DDS plugin. Out of the box, Photoshop can't open DDS files. That's why you need to download the nVidia DDS plugin (<a href="#271002">link</a>).

You don't need BinTex, just go get MWTex from Here or http://www.nfscars.net
