Gametrailers released a new exclusive smoke trailer for NFS Pro Street, i know you are fed up with those smoke feature videos, but wait a second...new logo !!

sigh...nothing much here. As for the new logo (which was updated a few days ago on the official site)...it's average. It looks decent, except for that crown on the left. It looks really out of place and the puke green doesn't really do it for me. I'm still hoping it's still work in progress.

Looks good, and in widescreen format! Lets hope they finally make an NFS title for PC that supports widescreen. =D>

well nothing new on that one. all this smoke makes my eyes burn, and BORES me. anyway, these guys are so excited they came up with something new, that they're going to push it down our throats until the game comes out. but nevertheless. I congratulate them for making some effort this time.I just hope it's not all smoke & mirrors

Agree with red_dawg and IliaRene + i don-t think i'll playing the game especially because of the smoke... i mean.. i don't really care of smoke

So it's now official the Smoke in PS is the "WOW that's cool" feature?

Just like Autosculpt was for Carbon, it looks nice but is most likely doesn't add anything usefull to the game (even less then Autosculpt did.

Autosculpt got me ocupied for minutes, I think this feature will keep me ocupied for... well seconds.

Yeah it's nice, but don't HYPE it EA!

I do believe it will be a "turn off" mod, in the options .. oh well, for the sake of the low PC users :P

I don't know what you guys think but those speed challenges don't look realistic at all. I mean, it goes too fast and the car looks too big in comparison to other environment elements. I think they messed up the scaling...

It is nice to have those little details though... without them it makes the game totally unrealistic, even if they may be overdone.

I really missed crapload of smoke in every NFS until this one, dunno... guess that's just my little-boy-fantasy or something :|

edit: I wonder will we have an option to get colored smoke, I saw some videos of these special drifting tires which made a red smoke

Smoke will probably keep me occupied for hours, what do you want to see most when you're in free roam? For me its smoke, and its about damn time.

I don't think there's going to be any free roam to practice our "smoke skills".

And EA should be concentrating more on damage as the "WOW" feature of PS. Smoke is nothing new... they just made it slightly better. The damage is new (at least for this generation of NFS games since Underground) and it looks amazing. Not to mention that it's supposed to fill the void left by the police, which should be a priority for EA. Let's hope this smoke isn't just something to blind us from the idiocy EA may have in store.

They said we will not have free roam in this one. it's in one of the video interviews.

But you will have some tracks to practice your ''smoke skills''.
But I think that the remove of the cops was a good idea.

I was tired to be busted in MW.
And btw,how a car can destory a roadblock ,having just some scratches?

I didn't say it made it really realistic... but since they are trying to get to a mid-point between Arcade and Simulator, it was a good move.

I really can't argue there though...

With smoke the team has been shooting to connect the car to the road. We think the smoke you get from grip loss, burnouts and drifting all help communicate the power of the cars in a way we've haven't been able to do this well before. It wouldn't be that cool if it was the only new thing we'd done this year. However, since we've overhauled the physics engine, pushed the visual bar much higher and invested in procedural damage the smoke turns out to be an important piece of the experience. Hopefully, once you get a controller in your hands you'll agree ;)
