NFS undercover missing a lot of advertised cars?

Ok so I just completed career mode of NFS:Undercover on PS2 and I'm a little confused. I read about the Bugatti veyron, Audi rs4, Audi R8, 2008 nissan GTR, bmw E46 M3, bmw M6, and various other cars that I have not seen in the game yet.

Cars i used throughout the whole game were the Mitsubishi eclipse (2008), the Nissan skyline gt-r (R34 model), Porsche 911 GT2 (2008 model), and then the koenigsegg ccx at the end.

The available cars to purchase in career mode are as follows...

60's camaro ss

There are even some cars that i drove in the game for vehicle events like delivering the Dodge viper. I cannot buy the dodge viper though.

It says in the career statistics menu "Number of Cars unlocked.....72" and the cars in the list above do not add up to 72.....they add up to only 35.

Are there open world car lots like in NFS: Carbon? Is there some way to get the other cars that have been advertised to be in the game? Has anyone else experianced this mass "lack" of cars?

I think its because the PS2 has limitations in what they can have in the game, that why the carlist is smaller.

hm....well it seemed like the car list in prostreet was bigger..could be mistaken though...I was looking forward to driving the GTR and Veyron

Well you have some cars that the PC version dosent.

hmm thats true i guess....they seem like carry overs from most wanted or carbon haha.

does the PS3 version have the same cars as the PC version? I was thinking of buying ps3 anyways.

yup, but the ps3 version has got the worse reviews ..especially complains about its disgraceful framerate ..

haha i actually ended up buying an xbox 360, and trading my ps2 version of undercover for an xbox 360 version. to report, i am much happier, and the game is completely different. hud's are different, cars are different, roads are different, there are WAY more missions....and i have slowed my progression in the game because im taking time to enjoy my lp560-4

i unlocked wat u unlocked plus the gallardo viper and the 911 turbo by the way try the camaro concept out its great

Personally, I think its just what platfrom you have it for.

for the wii version:

Instead of a Nissan GTR Cop Car, we have a Lamborghini Gallardo Cop Car

We have the Dodge Challenger, while the PS3 has to download it.

One of our cop cars is a Mustang.

We also have the Koenegsegg, pagani zonda, lambo lp640. with limited customization, the most you can do is maybe change paint, add vinyl, add rims, roof scoops, spoilers. body's are stock, same for performance.
