Re: Is there any room left?
Why choose a title which has nothing to do with the content and why write such pointless questions?

To tell you the truth, Bojan answered them perfectly and concise. Perhaps you should learn a new term called 'marketing'.oshaylinux wrote:Why are people not bothered by this?

Well, I was looking at all the ads. in Shift and got to thinking, is there any more room left for anything else...Bojan wrote:Why choose a title which has nothing to do with the content and why write such pointless questions?

Rhetorical maybe but not pointless. To me, NFS was more enjoyable when there were less/no ads. in them. I like having some ads., but I would like for those ads. to be of upcoming games and new releases. The building representation of businesses would be nice like they did in U,U2, MW, and Carbon. But all these banner ads. are making games look like cheap interactive commercials.
With the increased ads., why hasn't there been sponsored DLCs? The last and only one I remember was the Energizer sponsored one in Prostreet.
Re: Is there any room left?
The challenge series DLC in Undercover was sponsored too if I remember correctly.
I don't get it though why would anybody complain about ads in NFS - practically all ads in the game are only assigned to spots where there'd be ads anyway (billboards, sidewalls on race tracks, etc...). Having real world ads in the game only makes it more authentic. It's not like we're getting ads on loading screens, in game menus or such.

Re: Is there any room left?
Honestly, you shouldn't be looking at the ads in game, drive faster or just squint your eyes so you can't see them.
Re: Is there any room left?
I agree with Razkit mostly, but then the ads don't really bother me anyway. Besides mostly when I do notice what a particular sign says, it's usually advertising other in-game assets, like the NFS Live comp or Car Battles, instead of real world product.
