Editing Help!

I bought NFSC CE yesterday for my PC. I am trying to mod it, but I can't figure it out. I've been trying to replace the dump truck with the AI garbage truck. What I do is when I am in Hex Workshop I open a save file. Then I replace the garbage truck's code with the dump truck's code. This has not worked. When I go in-game, the dump truck isn't even there! The other way I do it is I replace the dump truck folder in EA/NFSC/CARS with the garbage truck folder, and that doesn't work either. Could someone help me, please?
