Gamepad issue

Hi guys,
I have a very strange problem when trying to play with my gamepad(I have two and both have the same issue, Logitech Dual Action)
When I'm trying to access the menu that is within the game, not when on pause, but the one on top left corner, when I open it the marker starts looping all over the menu like my game pad i stuck somehow in a direction, but it is not. Also when I try to remap the buttons in the options menu sometimes it says to release all buttons.. it is very strange... I've tested my gamepads with the logitech software and there seems to be no problem nothing looks stuck or anything... I have no problems with other games.
Do you guys have any ideas how to fix this?
