NFS HP2 Multi player cant join lan "Multiple use confl

If more than two players try to join a Multi player LAN game .we cant join . error says "CD Key Authorization or Multiple use conflict". We are using a patched copies. Only two can play

You need two different copies (different cd-keys).

SuperRacer, I've never done a Multi player LAN game of NFS before and if I wished to would I have to purchase a seconds copy of nfs Porsche. Wouldn't having the cd in one computer and on the other installed the nocd patch overcome the problem??

Probably not, the cd-key is still the same
Hint: use a *different* cd-key

I know the requirement of the forum says no warez but I gotta ask what you mean by use a *different* cd-key as I am pretty hopeless when it comes to programs and editing on computers. Sorry.

Im able to do LAN games with the kid. I found a Keygen on Grokster/ Kazaa (CD key Generator) and installed the game on the kids puter with a different CD key (prompts you for serial key on install)....runs LAN games no-prob

only problem i have is I keep forgetting to change my name back from "WhosYoDaddy" for online play

With nfspu it is possible to have a lan with more than one copy. You have to install the game, choose full installation and then run the game with the cd in it. After you get into the menu, take the cd out and do the same thing on other computers. This worked for me.

Nocd patch would probably also fix this.
