Resolution changing. Through file.

Hi folks.
My problem is that, my PC is too bad for this game to run smooth on the lowest in game resolution, but i know what res i'm going to need to play this. And here is my question, how can i change resolution to even lower? I was trying to making it through file "PROFILEOPTIONS_profile", but when i start the game it's again on the lowest in-game resolution. Any ideas?
