The BNR34 is extremely easy to drive, and although its lighter than the R35 GTR, its still a heavy car in itself.
Companies like RuF, 9FF and most of the other big Porsche tuners are seen as manufacturers in the eyes of most authorities. Hence they will be seen as "production" cars rather than modified ones.
Their size really only comes as an attribute to the types of cars they modify. But they are still aftermarket tuning houses.

well, IMO, which probably isn't right...
'
RUF is generally accepted not as a tuning company, but rather as a kind of external division of porsche...

I don't have it myself, but on a certain Gran Turismo game, it had several RUFs, don't know about actual porsches.

And the R34 is easy to drive? I never knew that, I was probably thinking of the R32...

About the Porche tuning issue, I like Gembella. Question-Will there ever be a new GT1 race car? Does anyone like the Spider RS?

From every spec level R32 to R34 Ive driven, they've all been extremely easy to drive, both on a track and around town.

Anyway, more important news: Clicky

The GTR V-Spec looks to already be in testing stages, and according to the article, people on the ground there are claiming this thing is lapping in at under 7 minutes 25 seconds. Obviously this is very unofficial at this stage. Performance wise, rumours are essentially -150kg and upping the power by 70bhp. Im guessing if the lap times are anywhere near accurate that the suspension has been re-worked too.

The only one left to release now is the 'Evo' spec, which was rumoured around the time the GTR first hit showrooms in Japan. I hope to God that its testing at the 'Ring when we go in August.

Under 7:25 - wow. I've heard they're going to strip 100kg off the car, but hey, 150 is much better!

Ah, yes. What attractive female wouldn't be able to resist a Ford Windstar with the 22 inch rims, pearlescent paint and a body kit the doubles its surface area?

I'll choose an exotic.
Maybe an LP560-4. I'll keep the rest for gas and maintenance.

In Singapore, a normal LP640 E-gear is S$1.2M. A normal Gallardo E-gear will set you back at about S$870,000. This is all thanks to road tax and a thing called 'COE' (Certificate of Entitlement). :P

For that kind of money, one can get another 2 more Gallardo's in the UK.

Oh, and my choice? Exotic of course.. I'd rather have everything bundled in one package and ready to go. Saves me more time, which is way more worth than money can buy. ;)

One thing ive noticed is that most of the tuned/modded cars are terribly uncomfortable, even just to sit in for small time periods.

Depends on what kind of modding you're referring to. Of course, if it's performance-modded, I can understand.

I've sat in a heavily interior and visually-modifed Suzuki Swift once, and it was pretty comfortable. :)

Oh, I know all too well how the prices are in Singapore for cars. My aunt a couple years back bought a Mercedes-Benz S320 for just under $300,000 and said she got an amazing deal as they were trying to get rid of it so they can introduce the next generation S-Class.

The Singapore Dollar isn't worth nearly as much as the American or even Canadian, so that's partly why; but it is still overpriced over there because of the road tax and other government things like you mentioned.

And I fully agree about the whole get an exotic and keep it stock thing. Hell, I'd be happy to have an Audi S4 and a bit of extra cash. Those LED headlights are sm3xy as firetruck. 8)

Oh, your aunt lives in Singapore? Cool! :)

As everyone here would say, you'd be more than happy if you could even own a car in Singapore. Even the cheapest cars here are still expensive. By the way, what year did your aunt get the S320? :P

Actually, all my family from my dad's side lives in Singapore, so I go there every 3 years or so. :)

I'm not exactly sure what year, but it was the last generation S-Class, I'm guessing sometime between 2003 and 2005 as those were the last years of the S320 production.
