Pontiac Light Attack Vehicle

Basic info Car: 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP Date added: Tuesday, 13. May 2008 Description: The Pontiac Light Strike Vehicle (LSV) is an extreme-maneuverability urban attack vehicle concept for the 21st Century, intended for rapid strike, reconnaissance, and high-asset-value personnel transport in discreet military operations. Based on the 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP convertible, the LSV features a strengthened chassis, armour protection against small arms and shrapnel around critical vehicle components and the cockpit, heavy-duty suspension and specially designed Michelin mine-resistant, run-flat high-performance tyres. Powering the LSV is a high compression, HKS-turbocharged version of the Ecotech engine rated at 480bhp. If introduced to the armed forces this would be the fastest operational military vehicle in the world. Fully capable of offensive operations the Light Strike Vehicle features two weapons bays beside the engine mount for driver-controlled armament including GPMGs, grenade launcher clusters or 4-round 2.75 inch Hydra rocket pods. Additionally the truck may be fitted with a retractable co-driver controlled, self-contained remote weapon station armed with heavy machineguns, automatic grenade launchers or lightweight anti-tank missiles such as SPIKE or Hellfire along with the necessary fire control systems. Equipped with the IVIS inter-vehicular network system, a platoon of Pontiac LSVs can rapidly achieve vehicular dominance in a designated mission area, "fixing" the urban battlespace as conventional ground forces deploy while engaging key enemy targets and armoured vehicles with lightning-quick precision fire and using extreme speed and agility to rapidly reposition for further attacks with impunity.
