The Full Race Drift Infantry - R15

Basic info

Need for Speed ProStreet
Car: 1999 Nissan Silvia S15
Date added: Friday, 16. May 2008
Description: Well, I got a really good idea for a little project I wanted to attempt, and I think this has definitely added some of the flair to it while still sticking to it's roots... sort of.

ABOUT:
A sleek and tough body and rims were looking great, but not showroom ready. So, 15 layers were spent making an intricate stripe to provide the focal point of the car. The stripe features a checker pattern, and full race, the major sponsor enclosed in a flaming bullet... if you look closely in the main pic, you notice it is made up of two tones to make it look shiny. Camo finishes off the paintwork, which is simple, but means business.

BODY:
Well, toughened standard kit as the car is already quite good looking. Of course, CF body kit pieces are featured, including the nice diffuser on the back, the low mount GT wing to keep the car's sleek profile (it is more stealth than a massive one, lol) and a CF hood. Volk racing/Rays, probably the nicest drift rims you'll find, are featured on this ride with some mad dish.

Vinyls:
Well, camo... gives the paint a bit of personality, and makes it look tough. The 4 tones of grey, a few being gunmetal, is a little dull, so a lurid red stripe breaks up the monotony. Well, where did my vinyl layers go? 15 were spent making the stripe! 4 on body + 2 decal. And then the decals have all been carefully placed and the brands make sense!

"i don't think its sufficient enough to "blend in with the environment"."
Decided not to follow that path... I may as well paint it charcoal.

"this looks too much like a racer than a army themed car."
The idea was a defense force sponsored drifter.

As far as I saw it, it was camo challenge, my style doesn't really work well with "stealth" unfortunately.

Glad you guys appreciate the track aspect of it.

I love that spoiler look though, sleek in my eyes. Glad you like the rest though.

For Acura Racer:
About the car, not exactly stealth (except for when drifting), but it has camo and a missile/bullet inspired by the military theme.
With the ideas I had I gave it a crack anyway just for fun and came up with a military sponsored drifter. Now, the colours chosen for the camo weren't purely random... it would be hard to see in tyre smoke don't you think? Also, the CF parts are quite stealth... and the wing is quite low unlike most racers.

I did keep the military part in mind, but I know that something simple doesn't stand out enough so I went with this idea of the 3.
