EA has opened the Need for Speed Carbon webstore where you can buy performance upgrades, visual upgrades, unlock cars or even upgrade your normal version to collectors edition. Prices range from $1 for cars to $3.75 for autosculpt upgrades, $5 for performance upgrades and $10 for collectors edition upgrade.
