The BMW Z4 GT3 is a racing car specially developed to participate in the FIA GT3 European Championship. It evolved from the road-legal second generation BMW Z4 (E89) and was launched in March 2010, right at the start of the championship. Its racing bodykit and massive rear spoiler are meant to give the Z4 high speed corner ability and keep the weight down. And this comes in handy, because this mean racing machine is powered by a 4.4-liter 8-cylinder V8 engine, which produces a little over 500 horsepower. With a weight of just 1190 kilograms, the BMW Z4 GT3 is meant to be a fast car. In its first two years of racing the Z4 GT3 proved to be a winner car: it took the crown at the Dubai 24 Hours racing event and did well in many GT3 races. If you are interested in getting one, the price is 315 000 Euro + VAT. If you are more of a virtual racer, you can get this car in your garage for 5500 Speedboost. Unfortunately, the GT3 European Championship version is no longer available, but you can at least get the Easter version, which comes with an exclusive licence plate, neons, and an Easter-themed paintjob.

Easter Customization Contest

With the release of the BMW Z4 GT3 Easter Edition and the holiday that's coming this weekend, EA is holding a new contest around the Easter theme (for those who don't know, Easter is the central feast in the Christian liturgical year - it marks the day when Jesus rose from the dead after his crucifixion).

To participate in this contest and win 1 of 10 Amazon Gold Starter Packs, all you have to do is decorate a car of your choice in an Easter Theme and submit one photo of it to ling@needforspeed.com. Only one picture / one viewpoint is accepted - multiple submissions will be automatically disqualified. Also, the subject line of the e-mail must be "Easter Customization Contest".

The contest began yesterday, Tuesday April 3 at 20:00 GMT, and will end Sunday April 8 at 20:00 GMT. The top 10 winners will be determined by a panel of Need For Speed: World judges and announced on Wednesday April 18.
