Welcome to The Showroom, the creative and social part of NFSUnlimited.net where people share their Need for Speed rides, best lap videos, crashes and more. Start uploading to join the fun!
Welcome to the WORLD Five Elements Challenge. This Challenge is all about creating a car based around one of the five elements. Use the bodywork along with vinyls to create something that represents one of the following elements: fire, water, air, earth and metal. Please remember to read the rules carefully, and sign up, challenge yourself and support the tuners by watching this challenge! All of this can be done by heading over to the challenge page.
With this competition, we will be giving away 10 codes for the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, courtesy of our friends over at EA. The creators of the top 3 entries will each receive a code for the Alfa, with the remaining 7 distributed randomly to users who complete the voting tour.
Additionally, please try and get your entry uploaded before the 26th of January - we have to accept the entries into the competition system and sometimes we don't always have time to accept last minute entries. Thank you.
For your convenience, we have also created a video on how to enter competitions on NFSUnlimited:
In order to make the work of the Showroom Moderators and Administrators a bit easier, I have created the following tutorial on how to upload to the showroom correctly. We would greatly appreciate it if you please watch this video tutorial it and refamiliarise yourself on the correct way to upload to the showroom (particularly in regard to additional images*).
This video has also been embedded on the uploading page for your convenience. I have also attached an extract from a Showroom Insider article (Issue #54) in the first comment for a text and image based tutorial experience.
In the past, some of you may have recieved this message from me in the past as a notification of a duplicate showroom entry**:
Quote:
Hi [username], in future please use the "Add additional views [+]" option located underneath the picture of your upload to add additional view to your Showroom Entry, instead of uploading multiple images of the same car to the Showroom. Don't worry it's an honest mistake, I made it too with my first days on the site.
This message would be sent to your entry's comments and your profile shoutbox in past, however that has proved to be very time consuming for me and the other Showroom Moderators to deliver. Along with that we have to go and delete each duplicate entry to tidy up the showroom. This is an issue that has been cropping up in the Showroom, particularly in the Need for Speed WORLD Showroom.
I'm probably coming off to everyone as they cranky Administrator from what I've said in this post, but this is an issue relating to making the site as user-friendly as possible to both the uploaders and the viewers of entries; the absensce of duplicate entries will make it easier for users to navigate the showroom. On that topic, if you have any comments or suggestions on how to improve the showroom, please post them in our Site Revamp/Improvents - Feedback, Suggestions, Ideas, etc. forum topic.
Thank you.

*Additional images - additional screenshots/views/images of the same car uploaded to provided a greater view of the features of the entry.
**Duplicate showroom entry - where additional screenshots/views/images of the same car are uploaded as seperate entries into the showroom instead of as 'additional views' on the first entry.
Happy New Year NFSUnlimited! Just kicking off the New Year's celebrations Down Under in Australia, I'd like to wish you all my best wishes for 2012. We all love our fireworks down here so here's a little something Dr Houbenheimer and myself whipped up a while ago!
Best wishes to you from myself and the rest of the NFSUnlimited and Showroom Insider Staff! Have a good one!
Apparently, according to GamerZines Need for Speed: The Run will be featuring exclusive cars to the PlayStation 3 system.
These exclusives are 7 of the most desirable exotics you could imagine:
=> Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
=> Hennessey Venom GT
=> Gumpert Apollo S
=> Lamborghini Countach QV5000
=> Koenigsegg Agera R
=> Lexus LFA
=> Porsche Carrera GT
Unfortunately the article does not state if there will be any exclusives for the other two major gaming platforms (PC and XBOX 360). Stay tuned for more info.
Congratulations to all participants, though we would like to see some higher numbers next time around, don't be afraid to join in!
Watch this space for announcements on future challenges, and drop your opinions and suggestions on the CTC page or inbox TW1ST3R or myself, and you can check out the full results here.
