Concept Car - Mantella
by LMS|
Basic info Date added: Friday, 2. November 2007 Description: Mantella is the name of a frog and to some extent this car's posture is similar to that of a frog. As I said in the AutoCAD line work, I tried to make a city car that doesn't fall into the "cute" category - a car that's hunched over the front wheels. I think I fell into the "cute" regardless of my efforts, probably because of the proportions. [link] There are no rearview mirrors because there are two cameras outside displaying feed to two screens inside. The car can seat four people in a back to back formation. The rear passengers enter through the boot door which opens and slides upwards. The engine is located either in the gap between the seats, or underneath the rear passenger seats with air being fed through the vents on the sideskirts. Only the rear rim rotates as the front one mimics the front legs of a frog (the front tire still rotates, obviously). The Audi TT above can be found here: [link] Tags The Entry's Categories

Interesting idea basing a car on a frog, but it's not so bad. Looks really futuristic.
