Light/Shadow Enhancement - Step 3
<< My First - Step 1 • Refining the Car - Step 2 >> by LMS|
Basic info Car: Nissan 240SX Date added: Tuesday, 17. April 2007 From garage: Evolution Description: This is the second and last car in the ‘Wings’ Series. I think I stepped it up in terms of visual corrections – Dodge and Burn tool mechanics. Using the ‘Wacom Graphire 4’ has helped me realize more of my ideas. This is a style I would like to name ‘Hyper Editing’ much inspired by ‘Hyper Realism’. We can’t achieve realism with the U2 screens, but we can, with good understanding of light and shadow, enhance the car’s appearance to something that is much more striking. It is realism as I see it, or more an interpretation of how I would like reality to be. I opted for a cleaner presentation in this case, because I just didn’t want to clutter the car with nonsense no one cares about. The things you can’t do in the game are – 1. Cleaner grille in the rear bumper. 2. Shaved door-handles. They’re a huge annoyance to me since I always put emphasis on the vinyls. 3. Paint the hood, roof, trunk and rear bumper areas black. You can use a carbon hood and trunk as a substitute. 4. Place the ‘Japan Tuning’ decal where I did, but slot number 5 is close enough. 5. With the vinyls I used you will get an ‘E’ at the end of the wing, but obviously not the rest. These are the only things I modified that are untrue to the source. Some of you have a problem with that, I don’t. About the car, I named it ‘Uyoku Arayamashii’ – ‘Wings Envy’. Ruffled feathers and a rugged appearance is what this car offers. Everything on it supports the rough, ruffled and rugged appearance. It’s crude, it’s aggressive and much less refined than the G35, and I don’t mean that in a bad sense obviously. Why Infiniti and Nissan? Because they’re owned by the same company, Infiniti being elegant and the old Nissan being rugged. I’m extremely pleased with the way it turned out, but I can still do better. Anyone who can guess the vinyl combo will get a presentation for one of his cars. JJ excluded, he’s getting one free of effort, lol. He’s a good guy, I’ve known him since I first joined this site, and so, I would like to dedicate it to him. Tags The Entry's Categories

A tip: there's some shine on the rear quarterpanel that shouldn't be so massive, while the rb seems to be shining where it shouldn't (it should be the upper part and not including the bottom). And remove shine from tires also, makes them look plastic lol. Just some tips for u to consider, i am sure they will make ur works much better even
