Basic info Car: 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Date added: Thursday, 18. September 2008 From garage: :::Chevrolet::: Description: 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Back to ProStreet for now, though I can't promise I"ll stay with this for too long... will likely probably be back to UG2 and UG1 fairly soon. Well, I really love Chevy, though for some reason I hardly ever upload any here. So I decided just to make a whole garage for all my PS Chevys, and I think I will be uploading some more into it soon. Love muscle cars too, though I don't really upload that many here, I think partly because I usually like really simple style on muscles, too simple to be uploaded here. Though these muscles that I may be uploading in the near future, and the one I'm uploading now, have a lot more complex vinylwork than I usually put on muscle cars, as most of them will be like showcars, and I know that I can safely upload them here without getting flooded with "its too simple!!!" comments. I already am working on a Camaro SS right now as well... it's about 90% finished, maybe, because I'm still working on all the little details and trying to find ways around all the glitches, which there were a lot of on the Camaro, as well as this Corvette. I think the Camaro will be a lot cooler even than this Corvette, so if you like the Vette, I'm sure you'll love the Camaro... but you'll have to wait to see it! Anyway, about this Z06... Chose black as the base color. Used light blue, dark blue, and black for the vinyls... a great color combo IMO. Let me know how you like it! Now you may be thinking right now that it's really simple and that it was just a 5 min. job. Well... think again. I used all 20 layers of vinyls... if you try to count, you can probably count most of them, though a few are hidden and were used only as cover-up vinyls... without these "cover-up" vinyls, then there would be parts of the vinyls showing everywhere where they're not supposed to be. Another thing about the vinylwork... specifically, these stripe vinyls that I use on the hood and trunk. I think they look really, really cool... I always see them used on the side of cars, like starting at the front wheel well. But never have I seen a person use them like I did, on the hood like this. So I wanted to try it. Minimalistic side coverage... that is how I want it to look. Decals... very few. If I am remembering correctly, I used 5 total decals... there are only 2 aftermarket decals on the whole car... the "Brembo" on the door, and "Stratospeed" on the very backside of the car. The rest of the decals are all manufacturer's decals... the Chevy decal on the nose of the car, on the trunk, and one on the side. Bk... stock autosculpt. Served the look that I wanted the best. Rims... muscle rims! Spoiler... none. Don't usually like them on muscles, and I especially didn't like how it looked on this one. Hope you guys like it. R/c/f, please, as always. Thanks. -EKWM Tags The Entry's Categories
