Midnight Purple GT-R
• My Grip Skyline - New Version #2 >> by RedCarDriver|
Basic info Car: 2008 Nissan GT-R (R35) Date added: Wednesday, 20. May 2009 From garage: ProStreet: Grip Garage Description: First off, I'm sorry that I haven't been online on the Showroom much recently. I've been doing a lot of other things and I haven't really played ProStreet too much lately >_> With this car, I had two goals in mind: -I wanted to experiment with a color combination like this for a long time, after seeing pictures of Midnight Purple R33s a lot. -I also wanted to dig out ProStreet and make a new car after being inactive for a while; hopefully I could overcome some of my other cars' common faults in a new car. Fairly "lightweight" with 12 vinyls, 13 decals. Made in about an hour (I usually don't keep track of time). I understand that the car looks pretty dark in these screenshots; it looks lighter in-game because of my brightness settings. DISCLAIMER: When these images were taken I had some texture mods installed in my game (the carbon fiber grille, and the fact that the headlight glass doesn't have the ugly specks on it). Due to this, I am not placing the car in the Classic category. Please try to vote in a way which ignores the CF grille mod. Thank you. (upon request, I can re-post the car with all texture mods removed) Also, sorry about the bad .jpg quality - they were saved on quality level "3". Tags The Entry's Categories

Perfect colors, really love it...but too simple vinyl design. This car can hit da top if you make V2 of it

Decals on hood should be smaller but it is still simply great for me!

Agree with zip_mdd, this decalwork is standard but looks good, and yes, decals on hood are too big IMO..

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.Yeah, I guess I still couldn't overcome some of my more common issues. I always have a lot of trouble with over-"developing" the hood area, and everywhere else I never seem to have enough detail.
I guess, even though I tried for simplicity, I could have worked on some areas of the car more. The rear area could use more work, but that part is hard because ProStreet screws up the rear bumper / quarter panel area somewhat.
I'll see what adjustments I can make to this, and I'll post a V2 sometime soon. (Hopefully I won't put it off forever like last time
