Ryan Cooper has recently copped a brand-new BMW M3 GTR before leaving Bayview. Searching for a street race, all he finds is a 5-0 Corvette C6 belonging to one Sergeant Cross. He opens the door and tells Cooper the procedure of his arrest. Just before he can pull him out, though, another Pursuit is reported, and Cooper barely gets away.

After dealing with Rog and other racers on the Blacklist, Cooper finally goes up with Razor Callahan (Ford Mustang GT). Having been told by Mia (Mazda RX-8) that something is wrong with the M3, he ends up losing the race... and the car itself. To make matters worse, Cross catches Cooper and arrests him.

Luckily for Cooper, since he lost his ride to Razor, Cross had no choice but to release him. Mia drops him off at a car lot to pick one of the 4 rides in stock. Underground gave Ryan Cooper a lot of experience, and that's what he'll need to survive in Rockport.
