Race Days
The ProStreet raceday, "Autobahnring Exhibition" is taking place, starting on the 13th of July, and finishing the next day at 10:30 PM. This race day will allow players to obtain the Community Race Day 1 achievement. Click here to sign up.
Also, keep an eye out for the second Achievement Race Day, scheduled for the 26th of July.
Community Tuning Challenge
The first Community Tuning Challenge is over, the theme being a "Good 10 Star Car" in Need for Speed Underground 2. Congratulations to all the finalists, they put up a great fight, and the competition was quite close. The winner was no other than the well respected Underground2 tuner, D-ToX with his futuristic Evo 8, E-Volante.

Dr. Motor's CF Ghost, another Evo, came a very close Second by 1 vote!

Third place went to baumaxx1's Vulcan.

The full list of competitors and results can be found at the competition thread.
With that competition over, the Pro Street shapes challenge is running. Entry is still open until Sunday the 12th of July, 5pm (+ 9:30GMT). The aim is to build an eye catching vinyl layout using only shape vinyls, and decals. Follow this link to show your interest in this competition, and quickly enter. There's still time left, and a few more competitors would be nice. Please look out for the updates in the showroom over the week and on baumaxx1's forum signature, and show your support by voting in this competition, and if you also enjoy to do a bit of Underground 2 tuning, you can vote for the next challenge in that same forum. Also feel free to make any suggestions about future competitions and the running of them.
Finally, the CTC Hall of Fame is also up. So far, it's a little empty, but give it a visit and keep an eye on it as future competitions fill it up.
In the Spotlight
This issue, the focus is on three unique, creative and vivid cars. There were quite a few cars to choose this week, and in the end we present 3 unusual ones.
Hidden Panda by ozzy89

It's quite an odd Civic, but likeable. Its bodywork has been kept clean, with some white rims to match the light white and green paintjob. The decals are neatly placed on the clean body, and a cute panda hiding behind a large retro Grip decal top of the quirky, cute look. This makes for one unique Civic, which is very fresh, cute and likeable.
gabetune team nissan by gabetune

This ride has a very typical racing/Pro Street look to it. You could be forgiven for thinking that it belonged to one of the kings. I bet you wouldn't mind winning that off one of them in a pink-slip race!
The graphic layout resembles some Time-Attack and drift cars, with plenty of bright decals placed around the car, and a major sponsor complemented by a simple and eye-catching design. However, the bodywork is closer to a Super GT car, and combined with those deep rims and race-inspired vinyls makes the car look absolutely bonkers. It's pure aggression!
'Hell's Ride' [Speed] ErikS883

Well, I was randomly browsing for feature cars, and going through other users' favourites, when I came across a ride by ErikS883. I hadn't noticed it before, and it was in the classic category and decided to check it out. It was no surprise that it was jaw-dropping, being created by the master of the mural himself. Even though it's quite old, one of the early cars in the showroom, I had to feature it, it's so deliciously evil!
The '03 Mustang is one tough looking car, especially with the widebody kit fitted on this particular car. Inspired by the muscular looks of the car and the brutality of speed events, ErikS883 decided to utilize the muscle vinyls to create a tough layout. He has no doubt succeeded in creating that, with the vinyls having quite a realistic airbrushed look to them, and creating a look that would suit the devil himself.
Creativity Competitions
The creativity challenges are running in the Creativity Board for those who would like to put their digital art skills to good use. Things are a bit slow there now days, so if you have some free time, why not support them and have a bit of fun.
Signature competition #47 is currently running, with the very odd theme being "Make Something Ugly" Not the most serious competition, but bound to be a barrel of laughs. Follow the link above for more information, and give the challenge a go.
The Prototype cover art competition is still running, and there has been a lack of entries so far. Head to the forum to find out more and to participate, and give it a go if you can to help revive our dying creativity competitions.
The Honda Civic EK9 chop competition has ended and the winner is YaelDijel with his Civic.

Bkize_GT was the runner up, on the same points, but turned down the win due to not having enough time to be very active in the forums.

Dr. Motor was a close 3rd.

And Koenigsegg_Rox was a not too distant 4th.

The next competition is yet to be posted, and the Chop Competition appears to be dead once again. However, if any choppers have a good idea for the next competition, Dijel has asked someone else to start the next one.
Words from the Staff
We apologize for this issue also being delayed. We have been busy lately, bear with us. I (baumaxx1) am the only one who has been able to do the past two issues, and school and other commitments prevent me from getting an entire issue out on time. Regards, baumaxx1.
