In the News
Since the last issue of The Showroom Weekly, there has been quite a few news about Need for Speed Undercover.
An Interview with Maggie Q by 1Up discuss about her role in the game. There isn't much Need for Speed Undercover related news in the interview though.
John Doyle, meanwhile, got interviewd by IGN to find out the aspects in Need for Speed Undercover. You will find out the reason behind them bringing back narratives in the game. He also mentions that this isn't a Burnout wanna-be, where you can do some unbelieveable stunts, but a Need for Speed game that keeps the realism, real.
There are also two need videos from Need for Speed Undercover. One of which showing one of the mission where you steal the police new Nissan GT-R and bring it back to your garage, and the other one showing the Highway Battle mode, where you try to navigate traffic at very high speed to gain a big lead from your opponent.
Gamespot has also released new trailer for the game and also an interview with Steve Barcia from EA. The new trailer will feature a chase scene between the cops and an Audi R8 and Mazda RX-8, where finally the driver's caught and try to run away from the cops, but failed. The interview explains more about the cop's role in the game, and how you, the player, have to deal with them. And for you guys who are afraid of another unfinished game by EA, fret not, they mentioned that the game's complete!
5 new cars has emerged in the Tri-City carlot. The cars are, Shelby GT500, Mazda RX-8, 2003 BMW M3, Pagani Zonda F, and Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. Although the picture shows a Lamborghini Gallardo LP540, the info shows specifications for the Murcielago, so you can expect both cars to be in the game; although it isn't confirmed yet.
Showroom Groups
There's a new feature that has been up in the showroom. It's called the Showroom Groups. You can create a group to get together everyone that have the same interest, tuning style or from the same country. We already have groups from United States, Finland, Australia and Poland. The staffs from NFSUnlimited also have their own group! So start making your group right now!
Communitry Tuning Challenge
The next CTC will be for Need for Speed Underground 2, the “Wide Load” challenge. The aim is simple, use a wide body kit on your car, but use it wisely! This is scheduled to start after the Street Racing Challenge.
There is a CTC showroom group open, where we feature CTC winners, other CTC demo cars, discuss the competition, receive news updates and show your support.
Showroom Challenge
No time was wasted in beginning the next challenge, and Street Racing Challenge is open for entry. The top three tuners will receive a t-shirt courtesy of EA Games. This competition looks back at the Underground series, and the street racing past of Need for Speed Prostreet's protagonist, Ryan Cooper. The aim is to build a street racer's car, so it can be dressed up in a street racing crew's livery, have a performance JDM look, a clean euro style, a hot rod style, or even a flamboyant show look, just as long as it's streetable and not an airbrushed show pony, or hardcore track car.
In the Spotlight
We've got 2 unusual rides lined up for you this week, a dragster and a street racer.
Shelby by archange

This is no doubt one of the toughest cars on this site, everything about it is aggressive! The base car was the Ford Mustang, a tough muscle car. Then the body was fattened, a ridiculous hood was slapped on and the body was dropped on some deep dish race rims, and a brutal base was laid for the paintwork. The paintwork is where things get even more interesting, and the car features a nice two-tone paintjob, slanted at such an angle to make the car look like it's charging forward at 300 kilometers an hour standing still! To make things interesting, the paintwork features a mural design, with a desert backdrop, and a tank's cannon firing a shell at the opposition. At first sight this car would seem scary, and even more so as it lines up next to you at the drag strip!
Tri - Viper by RAYADO

RAYADO strikes again with his trademark "Eclectic" style and from some trial and error, he has turned out another showstopper. The stock body has been altered nicely for a more agressive look, an obvious choice for a viper in most cases due to it's classic, tough look. Nice thick rims match the beefy body. The paintwork has is very much influenced by hot rods, with the Viper being a modern day hot rod, and warm colours have been used to keep true to the "hot" theme. The side features a neat, racing layout keeping with the car's lines, and a header vinyl has been placed on the side skirt to look like the exhaust has been modified in true dragster fashion. The hood gives the car a bit of personality in RAYADO's typical fashion, with an interesting flame layout incorporating more hot rod elements into the car. In the end, the car is on the wild side of the spectrum, almost looking like it came from an animation, but it is definitely agressive!
Presentation of the Week
Tenzo R™ 350Z XTREME [Pres] by Moe-Z-

The car here is one extreme drift monster! Mad bodywork, plenty of carbon fibre parts, aggressive deep dish wheels, and extensive drift livery make up the car, with a touch of red in the Tenzo R decal to spice things up.
However, the presentation is equally as impressive. Smoked headlights and taillights give the car an evil look, and added canards also make it look more hardcore, these simple edits improving it. The car sits in front of a stunning abstract backdrop, with an explosion effect, giving the presentation a great sense of action, suiting the drift car and giving the picture a sense of action even though the car is still. It definitely stands out from other simple presentations, and realism presentations, showing that well used brushes and renders can be stunning.
