The first official interview for Need for Speed World Online by it's producer Scott Henshaw is now available at the official site. In this interview, he mentioned that the game will be using the city from Carbon, while at the same time, merging it all together, with Most Wanted. How cool is that?! If you are interested to read the interview, click here.
Meanwhile, a new blog post by the official NFS Blog has shown the User Interface for Need for Speed World Online. The post mentions how the new user interface has been built to be different from the console version, and the features.
Our red alien has put up his own preview, after trying SHIFT for the first time. If you're interested to read it, click here. There are also 5 new screenshots for SHIFT which you can view here.
Community Tuning Challenge

Import Tuner challenge has come to a close, and its lenient design regulations have resulted in a wide range of looks and styles. Of all the competitors, Moe -Z- dominated the competition with his electric 350Z, making good use of the dotted gradients to create a stunning and very eye-catching, "lit up" look.

In second place was Rizur with his high performance 350Z.

baumaxx1's colourful S15 drifter, featuring a wide range of paint tricks from gradients, to camo, to chrome stole the last podium position, which was dominated by Nissans.
Congratulations to all who competed! Many of the competitors' submission were of the highest quality. The complete results are available at the challenge page.

Meanwhile, CTC 14 is now open for entry, with a Concept theme this time round. This challenge is made for Need for Speed Underground 2. The objective of the challenge is to to create a car without using any decals or vinyls. Head on to the challenge page to submit your entry.
In the Spotlight
Blue by amdy

Even outside the Import Tuner Challenge there are NFS cars being made to dedicate one of the best car magazines worldwide. This one, in particular, stood out in front of the crowd, taking fourth in the competition. Along with its mixture of street and drift styles is its other mixture of blue and black, something that usually fits with school fights, and also fits this car. Decals look of a high standard and the vinyls are something to be happy about. Not to mention, this bodykit is "DA BOMB". Any fan of Import Tuner Magazine, Mitsubishi Evos, and tuners both here and in real life in general is sure to drool over this one. I know I did...
Storm S2000 by Reemus

A dark and sinister S2000 creeps its way into the Showroom. S2Ks like this, which, like the car itself, has NEVER (and I use that loosely) looked this spectacular since the original Need for Speed Underground. Of course, that would be the obvious, given the fact that this was created by Reemus. Lovely choice of rims and wing, along with the gruesome body, and the vinylwork is just INSANE. It's like if you were looking at it with 3D glasses with the woman jumping out at you, eating your soul! Speaking of 3D glasses, Pearlscent (or Iridescent, apparently, I'm colorblind - not really) blue is the way to go, topped off with some decals to finish an awesome ride.
Presentation of the Week
Kobel/Stone "Z" by PANZER_SVK

Insanity is a perfect word to sum this car up. On top of the gorgeous standard 350Z body lies a full body graphics package that resembles tribal war paint. The complex tribal design flows from front to back very neatly providing a very creative transition from a red base colour to a black base colour, and despite its complexity it retains a very neat and professional finish. A dark grey pattern also covers the back end under the bright red tribal and gives the black paint a very exciting finish and this extra detail is nothing short of impressive. Neat decals fit the gaps and add to the "automotive warrior" look, and the dominating red colour, the colour of war suits the car's personality perfectly.
The presentation is also of a high standard, with the car itself featuring enhanced reflections and some lighting tweaks to make the colours more vivid. The background is quite simple and features dull colours, contrasting nicely with the busy and vivid car. Ghosted fratical patterns lie on top of smoke in the backdrop, giving the backdrop a lively look and a neat look at the same time, and create the perfect mood for the car without being too overpowering. The overall look is very powerful.
