In the News
It's 5 more months till the release of Need for Speed: Shift. The producer of the game, Michael Mann, has been interviewed by EA on the upcoming installment. In this interview, posted on the official EA website, the producer talks about the difference between SHIFT and the previous installments. This interview also explains what Slightly Mad Studios have done with the game to make players feel like driving the car in real life.

Another interview, another producer. Check out the second part of the interview with producer Jesse Abney. This interview would be useful to those that have little or no idea about the basic feature of the game. Jesse Abney also reveals the return of drift mode. Read the interview here!

Community Tuning Challenge

For the first time in the Community Tuning Challenge history, we would like to announce that we have a tie! D.U.B. challenge is officially over, and of all the pimped out cars in the competition, the voters could not separate baumaxx1's classy low rider; *$*Royality*$* and Dynamic's very classy Audi S5, Orcinus. So on 446 points a piece, we have 2 winners for the first time in the history of CTC.

In a very close second place, one point behind the two first placed cars, was Wegeta with his very clean and mean Mercedes. Reemus' mean M3 followed closely in third.

Congratulations to all, especially for making this the biggest Undercover CTC yet, and the closest CTC ever!

Complete results are available here.

The poll for the next CTC theme is up, so head to the voting page to choose what CTC challenge you would like to see or compete in next! There's a nice balance between race-inspired themes and show themes to choose from for ProStreet.

Also, any suggestions for future CTC themes and CTCs are welcome.

The Spotlight
Drift Silvia S15 by scotth123

This drift car has the usual combination of aggressive, wide bodywork, deep dish race rims, and a big GT wing. This is a usual recipe for a drift car, and this combination is what you’re likely to see on top level rides in real life.

Real drifters also need a very eye catching vinyl layout to catch the crowd’s eyes and get maximum exposure for their sponsors, exactly what this car has. A vibrant orange base screams for attention and a ghosted dragon on the door spices things up. The “claw” two-tone laid over it works perfectly and fits the theme like a glove, and also provides lots of contrast between the two tones. A well placed flag vinyl fills the black space nicely and tops off this eye-catching vinyl layout that is sure to get this car noticed on the track.

Here is another eye-catching drift car. Its bright sky blue paintwork is sure to catch your eye combined with the contrasting yellow tear and major sponsor. The tear has been meticulously constructed with a grey to black gradient in the centre, yellow outline and yellow slashes visible in the blue paintwork. This is also done on the hood, and what seems like a simple layout fills a lot of the car up nicely. Neat decals are placed all over for the sponsored drift look.
The bodywork has also received some attention with a full body kit fitted, race wing and tough deep-dish rims. A black front lip and black taillight assembly are nice, unique body details and are the finishing touches to this stunning drifter.

Presentation of the Week
350z artistic press by miro423

What we have here is a simple, clean presentation for a simple and clean car. The drift car features clean bodywork, the usual choice of deep dish drift rims and giant spoiler. The layout is a very clean and modern red-white two tone which integrates the major sponsor and minor decals into it flawlessly. Some ghosted red vinyls and white backing vinyls give the paintwork some texture and are nice added details to the layout.

The presentation itself is a modified garage screenshot. Although simple, it works very well. The background has been blacked out, and the floor made greyscale so the car’s colours appear richer. A sense of action is created with thick smoke pluming from the car’s rear guards as it does a doughnut, and a laser beam that snakes under the spoiler is a nice final detail. Overall we have a car and presentation that are simple, but look a treat.

Words from the Staff
We would like to thank users that had stated their interest to join the team. We are still open for recruitment. So feel free to PM ahmad0410 if you are interested. We would also like to thank those submitting ideas for the future issues of the Showroom Weekly.

Currently, we have a new slot for editors. The requirements are simple. You would need to have a very good understanding of track racing and also car tuning. We are talking about real cars here. So if you have what it takes, PM ahmad0410 or Bojan.
