AGP will do fine for the next few years, if you put in a new graphics card, it should be capable of running the latest games easily for another year or 2. Depending on your budget you'll have to decide which graphics card it will be, you can also go for an Ati X800GTO ( http://www.newegg.com/Product...

hmm... How can you have 512+ 488MB Ram? Try to get 2 memory modules of the same kind and size, it's always better than several different modules. Also, I'd say that you perhaps should get a new graphics card, although yours is a very fast card, it doesn't support DirectX 9 so I'd get a Nvidia GeForc...

I've never owned a PS2 but I'd definately say no. A PS2 runs the game from a DVD (it has no hard-drive) so how the heck could you install a patch on a already burnt non-rewritable DVD? Also, every console has got it's own format, so for example a PC executable is quite different to a PS2 executable,...

Uhm... the guys just explained that you have to unlock them in Challenge mode! You are able to unlock those cars twice, once in carreer mode(uncustomizable) and in challenge mode (customizable), at least that's what they're saying. Maybe there is a difference between the Black Edition and the...

I was thinking of a X800GTO actually, it's got 256MB GDDR3 memory and 256-bit memory bandwith and it's price is really good (< 200 Euro if I remember correctly).

all4spl, to make long stories short: if you want to play the newest games again you'll have to upgrade all of you hardware, that means: mainboard, processor, memory and graphics card AT LEAST... I'd save up and buy a brand new computer dude

of course it's better than the 733Mhz one, it's got 2.93Ghz that's much more... It's just not the REAL gaming processor and you need a new mainboard to install it as well, and new memory and a new graphics card before you can run the newest games again, so you've got a lot to buy...

I want to hear an opinion guys: I've got this: Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe mainboard AMD 2800+ (@ 2.3Ghz at the moment) 512 MB Ram Ati Radeon 9600 (non-pro) with 256MB memory @ 400/200 the graphics card still sucks because the memory timing is extremely high, in fact this graphics card is the slowest 9600 n...

I know this ain't a topic about processors but I just want to add one thing: If you want value for money and cheap processor, go for an AMD Sempron 64, they're pretty good and they've got AMD's 64-bit technology :)

Minimum amount of memory I'd go with nowadays would be 512 MB ... Considering 1 GB is only like $30 more, I usually recommend going with that as it improves performance considerably when multi-tasking or when running memory-intensive processes (such as NFS:MW) ... 1GB Ram on a 733 Mhz? not even pos...

Depends on how you 'take care' of windows, I've run WinXP on a Duron 700Mhz with 384MB Ram and it always reacted fast and reliable, but I installed it because I needed it. When you do install Windows XP, make sure you tweak it to the max, that means: don't run useless processes in the background, pu...

can u overclock ram? The bus speed Vellu was talking about is the speed at which the processor and memory communicate, so in order to overclock the processor(CPU), you'll HAVE TO overclock the memory cause else it will bottleneck the CPU and you will have nothing after all. So yes you can overclock...

I agree with you that you need a proper computer as well to run games. But sometimes the graphics card can give you just the slight edge to play the newest games for another year (on low graphics ofcourse). I dunno what kinda PC he's got but what I do know that NFS:MW runs on lowest detail on a Athl...

But if you can barely buy a Radeon 9550, you won't be able to buy a proper motherboard...
