Does any one know of any programs that can recreate the burn effect on closing a window from linux? also the wobbly windows.

That does look very nice, and I've seen plenty of work made using ZBrush which look absolutly awsome. I've been meaning to learn it myself, looks like a great piece of software for organic modelling. Yeah it's a real easy program for oganic modelling, however it dosn't do artifitial well at all. aw...

looking at this guide, http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/oakwood_data/push_button_starter.htm it looks like simple enough. I would take a 20 inch display, like the Dell 2007WFP. same resolution, smaller screen --> smaller dots, better quality. and probably cheaper. about the 320Mb GTS, will probably run slow at 1680x1050. Not now, but think of future games... take the 640Mb version, or get a smaller monitor (1440x900) ...
