I have an AMD Processor (although not the same model you do) and i don't have that problem, but i'ld suggest that you run NFSMW and once the same starts you minimize it and bring up the Task Manager (pressing CTRL + ALT + Delete is the shortcut key i think) and find the process called speed.exe, rig...

Ok with that patch i seem to have been able to get NFS4 to run and recognize my graphics card (i already got it to run by disabling compatibility mode).
However now just a few seconds after i hit the main menu i get a message saying "STREAM_release -chunk has already been released"
