Yeah, but "it overclocked" whether you did it or your MB does it for you. As long as your ambient temperature stays reasonable then you should be fine.

Agree with baumaxx1. You shouldn't be bottlenecked by either the processor or the RAM. What operating system are you playing the games on? Windows XP or Vista?

If you are really curious about the performance differences there's a bit of a review with comparison between the 9500GT, 8800GT and 9600GT as well as a couple of others.

As vellu said, there are plenty of 9600GT priced within that range and they all perform well.

It's playable at about 20fps on my machine. It's slightly more fun to play since the patch. But it's still not what I was hoping for. Yes it has the open world which means I can drive around and get into my own trouble. And as long as you can read the map, you can drive to the vicinity of any event ...

It's working for me cranky123. What platform are you playing it on? ie: pc, xbox etc. I have PC version and played nearly fifteen quick races without an probs.

However, I think that all versions were the same prior to the patch, as the patch file seems to be the same regardless of which version you download and use. But then I remember that I had made the requisite changes to the registry to make the game run half, well no very much better at all really, hence the patch. But I had done some tweaking to the files on the original install....
