No shadow? What is that? No shadow because they haven't been decoded yet. yeah, i'm with Stig. it is exciting to see that someone can make cars for MW. yet you still have to wait. cause he has to sit and make bodykits for this, and has to make sure all the rim styles/sizes work with it, and has to ...

It had nothing to do with the number of posts I might have. It had a lot to do with how many people sign up, get the answer they need and are never seen again. Congrats on breaking that mould. In the ideal world, there would be anonymous posting support for those people. Also, in the ideal world, p...

The reason why the rims disappear is that stock rims are local to one geometry.bin file, whereas the custom ones are in a seperate bin file. The only reason why you even see the rims temporarily is that the game has the model of the original car that rim belongs to in memory cache for a while until ...

Nah... It's pointless to have this argument, but the CD CD should always be the end of the block. Let me tell you why: 1. When Windows allocates memory blocks, it always aligns the memory location on 4 byte boundaries. Which means your dynamically allocated memory addresses may end with 0, 4, 8, or ...

I found how to make PINK SLIP cars available in the CAR LOT. Let's say you want to have the Mustang. Ok, look for the code 4D FD 93 9B 4D FD 93 9B 08 . Notice the 08 at the end of the car's code. Change this to 01, and KABAM!!! pink slip car of blacklist rival in the garage. This can be done with a...

It really isn't easy for EA to keep track of people using trainers/cheats... some do get banned or served with a TOS, but some do get away. What you should really do is prevent the trainer from functioning while the game is in an online mode... if you can figure memory offsets for all those, I'm sur...

Haven't run the MW demo through my trusty decompiler yet. Been having too much fun playing it... this just might be the first NFS game since NFS6 that I'm actually enjoying. The decompression algo is the same as the U2 one, so grab the code from that. I think I posted the offsets somewhere on this f...

I have no idea how the file is actually compressed. I use some of EA's game code for the decompression. I can't release any programs using that code until I rewrite the decompressor. There are a few more non technical things to worry about... wouldn't want so very well known coffee incident happenin...

It's good to hear there's a measure of progress though. Well, I could access the texture a few months after U2 was out. So not much progress from my point of view :) Just what sorta stuff can we do through hex editing? Does it go far enough to being able to use the paint off another car? I have no ...

Not sure about Underground 2, but in older NFS's including NFSHP2 the tree models were just 2 intersecting planes or 3 planes... and all the effects were made using transparent tree textures.. like this: http://aru.nd4spdworld.com/pic/comp01.jpg Poly count for each one of those trees is like 4 polie...
