Re: What car do you drive ?
...this thread doesnt make any sense. Why can I order a part from Japan, cheaply, and have it within 3 days when I live in the UK (about as far away from Japan as you can get), but people in NZ/Aus cant? :^o A LOT of big power Japanese cars have come from that part of the world, lack of parts isnt r...

Re: What car do you drive ?
I dunno if you guys hav talked about it, but could it have been possible u weren't actually racing a WRX STI? Maybe it was a lesser model, which would explain why u beat it so well. just my 2 cents The WRX and STi are different cars. Beating a WRX is plausible, but theres no doubt an STi would have...

Re: Project: 'Erebus'
Its not a true/official sponsorship. I just made a friend in a high place.
As for taking the Yokos instead of the Toyos, Id only do that for daily driving. The R888s are radials, basically road-legal slicks which offr ridiculous grip in the dry.![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Re: Project: 'Erebus'
Late update, lol. I was asked by my employer to work on their stand at a major Japanese drag event, with my car on the stand. Not only did I get paid the equivalent of a weeks wage for doing it, Ive scored free Yokohama tyres when I need them, and heavily discounted Toyo R888s. ![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Re: What car do you drive ?
Lol, I can see where your coming from, and I wouldnt be supprised if the next WRX that came along blew me away Hah, dont worry Im not calling you a liar. The internet is full of theories that never quite work out in real-life, and a lot of people dont realise that the driver is 90% of the victory i...

Re: What car do you drive ?
Like Hazmat said, the only reason a WRX would break down is due to a careless driver who revs the guts out of it. ...thats not strictly true. There are hundreds of reasons other than an over-zealous driver which could cause an Impreza to break, the main one being the inherent and now infamous #3 cy...

Re: What car do you drive ?
Now thats a clean 'Lude. TF - Im not going to lie, Id struggle to believe that youre beating WRXs, even with a knackered engine and a crap driver, a WRX will still pull late 14s/early 15s without too much trouble; theyre a LOT easier to drive hard than a Prelude is. That said, round the corners they...

Re: New car?, want more performance or Looks? Come here and ask!
I would say you beating SiRs is probably down to the other guy not being able to drive more than anything. Civic SiRs are basically 160bhp in a car made of paper, theyre about an even match for your 'Lude. 153fwhp is probably about right in all honesty, taking into account age, transmission loss and...

Try turning up the white balance on your camera, itll get rid of the orangey glow on night pics.

It hasnt been confirmed yet as far as I can tell. So far theyve established that the helicopter has crashed close to his home, and that it belongs to McRae, but have yet to officially identify the bodies. Its a sad day though. ![Crying or Very sad ](./images/smilies/icon_cry.gif)

Bogan, that AW is beautiful. I really want another! :( Another pic of mine, fitted a garage Vary front splitter. Im happy because its helped with two things: 1. The front of the car is no longer higher than the rest 2. The car actually handles above 100mph now http://img401.imageshack.us/img401/8058...

Good choice with the RBs, love those wheels.
The diff will be a Kaaz 2-way, and the transmission will be an FD RX7 box with a shorter final drive.

The 1600 block itself is taken from the Mazda 323 GTR, which is turbocharged.
As an update, Ive got a test session booked at Blyton airfield in September. Oh, and a pic with the recent weather:

Really? Have you been in touch with them? As for the turbo, Ill probably go with a TD06-20G eventually. I liked the feel of the GT28, but the T28R has been very problematic for my friend...
