Gave the soft setup a go and indeed it is faster(well there goes my faith in the game physics), I was able to lap with my AE86 consistantly in 1:07s and got down as low as 1:06.07 without Nitrous...

lower reacts quicker but tend to make the car twichy....

I didn't really anticipate this as the first game did not impress me at all, for an arcade-type racer the handling in the original really is quite annoying with perpetual understeer and then the annoying catch up by the AI is just downright cheating. After fiddling with setup(and came to the conclusion that for AE86, to kill understeer, what NOT to do is reduce rear wing....), got a 1:07.93

This is a new car I just made though, with carbon all around with widebody kit(armageddon), highest state of tune and no Nitrous....track attack special...lol

BTW RX7 is a close as I could get to the Corolla's time, 1:14-ish

I tried yesterday on just about every car and came to the same conclusion that the Corolla is unbeatable.....it's easily 5 sec a lap faster than any other car.....

First post here, but the tuning feature seem to lend itself well to such a competition.....if this is a duplicate then delete this thread.... Basically I think this is the longest layout of the track and you can access it via tune performance setting with either tune for URL races and Tune for circu...
