NFS HP2 LAN issues

Ok just bought NFS HP2 today, brought it home and a couple pl came over with their puters, we loaded it on all boxs and we cant play multiplayer against each other, gives an error about same CD key, is there any way around this? or do they have to buy thier own copy to play me MP on a lan?

You all have to have different cd-keys.
