Nah not too heavy. In the old days I actually maintained a nfs site with dialup. Downloading 2MB files and then uploading was really fun with that :)

I have before downloaded a approx 75 MB game demo before going broadband. It was at a pretty good speed. I also used Go-Zilla because when ever the computer stops etc you can then start at that spot rather then doing it all over again.

I also downloaded Sound Forge (28 mb) and Viper Racing (33 mb). Although I think It is different downloading a programm or game than a patch. My Dial-Up connection is not too fast, although I use download accelerator and another util for net boosting. I have to pay the fone, and can't remain so much on-line.
(But I have to recognize that this 56kb connection is much better than my old 14 kb).

Your right troublemaker, it is pretty quick even on normal dial up service. Koffy, make sure you haven't got one of those shiznit programs on your computer like gator etc which sucks heaps off the net by downloading crap that you didn't ask for. Mine dropped from 50.6k down to 21.6k resulting in real slow connection and download rates.

It's not only that. The phone lines here are a real shiznit, that's why some tihngs are so heavy to download.
Internet actually conects at 52 kbps. and it took me like two hours to download Viper Racing.

I think the only thing that should slow my connection down is kazaa, but I only open it when I need it.

Koffy, let's hope the phone lines there get better so you can make the most of the net and download time. kazaa is a music search engine like Imesh isn't it?? I had Imesh and every time I connected to the net a program hidden within its files known as hotbar would download all this crap that I didn't want. Have a look in your set up by running msconfig which will show all programs on your computer. You may find some like I did which I had not downloaded resulting in slower connection too. It's worth a try.

Kazza is not only a music search engine, but also files, docs, images, movies, games and others. It is like the capital of piracy and porn, but you can find many things.

I'll check msconfig.

Yeah, only used Kaazza for music once but nevertheless hope your connection improves.
