nfshp2 runnin kinda choppy

dont get me wrong this is NOT realated to FPS. it's all very strange and've never encountered it before in a game. When i start the race and the whole movement is somehow "choppy". I mean it's like as if it was loading from the HDD, but it's not. Its' definitely not smooth, and it's very annoying.

The machine:
G4 mx440 64ram
Cel 1.3
256ram
creative pci128
Xp prof. 2600

What's causing this stupid goddamned thing?

Does the game start like lagging, and then run normally?

If it is like that I have a friend who has the same problem, and he has the same G-Force video board as you.

Try lowering the resolution (in the game) and textures. What is the resolution set to right now?

this happens on all settings, doesnt matter of what is the res, bits...
yesterday i noticed the same thing happens in nfs4, but not always. Only in some situations i cant determine.
Actually this started happening after bought this cpu and motherboard, on the previous ones it was only low fps.

i personally use the detonator 30.82 drivers with my geforce 2MX pci and i can run full graphics smoothly
