Your video board seems to have very few MB's.

That video card could be the problem. Read the readme on the HP2 CD, check the list of supported video cards. Also, try installing DirectX 8, that's what HP2 was probably developed for.

How about removing any hacks that you may have added which alter the games .exe file.

I think its my vid card i just bought a gf4 mx 440 se and i can get ferther
but for some reason the agp card makes my system unstable as hell, even in windows

iv got a feeling it my mother board its a pcchips m810L its ment to run a max of 1.3g duron, but i flashed the bios so it now run up to 2.6g XP
im an XP1800+

so im getting a new board soon an Epox with a nforse2 chip set, if that dont work im getting out the slege hammer!!

so nope still no go, its just so wierd how i can only play single race and
nothing else

Probably because you flashed the bios to work harder and it can't cope with the specs required by the game. New motherboard though should fix all.

Yep, that seems to be a good solution. Maybe the mother has some conflict with its agp port.

Oh... Chech 'System' in the Control Panel for hardware conficts.

There could be a conflict between your agp card and your built-in card. Check if it's installed, and if it is, disable it. Like Koffy said, check for hardware conflicts.
There could be IRQ conflicts. Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information, Hardware Resources, IRQs and check for conflicts.

Try installing another version of Windows (I suggest 98).
It could be a problem with your CD, try exchanging it for another copy.
Chrishemi

Post by Chrishemi »

yep i checked for IRQ conflicts and they were all good
iv tryed the cd on my mates comp and it works fine
as for reinstalling iv done everything x3, the only thing i havent tryed is another version of windows (unable to get a copy of 98 or me)

as for my agp im going to buy a new power suply to try and make make it more stable...........

my power output is
max output 125watt......i never realised how crap it was
+3.3v = 14amps
+5v = 20amps

amd recomends at least +3.3v @ 28amps for the XP1800+

thanks guys

Then it could be your video card. If not, I'm running out of ideas. Do you have enough disk space?
