NFS HP2 Loading Problem

I am having a problem with NFS HP2.
I have run the first races of Hot pursuit and Championship, but whenever I try to play the next races, my game locks up when it starts to load the race.

And i get an error message, something like this:
"Hit Cntrl-C to Copy
Unfounf Address at:
00235-56223
12335-54688
etc, etc.

Not sure of the excact text, as I dont have an Internett-connection on that machine.
I've tried both with and without the 242 patch, and with or without the NOCD crack, and I've tried reinstalling.

Help anyone?

Sorry... forgot my system specs:

P4S8X Mainboard
P4 1.6 Ghz
512 PC2700 Corsair Ram
Geforce 3 Ti200
Running WinXP

Hey Koffy, are u running xp also because I'm finding that the system stalls even on a screensaver at times . It's just a crap operating system and maybe you should drop back to windows me or somethink to see if the problem persists.

By the way, ME is crap too.
