HP2 not starting

My NFSHP2 does not start under WinXP. When I click on the exe, the cursor changes to loading/busy for about a second, and nothing happens. In Win98 it rus fine, so I don't know what it can be.

Try installing the DirectX version on the HP2 CD. (I beleive it's 8.1) Usually that's the problem. Earlier versions have less things in them and some later versions are not compatible with earlier ones.

Now that you mention it it must be that. In 98 I have 8.1, but in XP 9. I'll try that.

Not out another alpha, much better than the last one, and they have already made 4 adon cars, A Chevelle SS, a 61 Vette, and a Mustang Mach1.

Koffy, am currently downloading the Alpha version of Street Rod 3 as ya always gave it a pretty good rating throughout its series...shall let ya know what I think.
