HELP WITH PATCH

Hi.I downloaded all the patches u have here on this page cuz i dont know which one version i have so i tried them all but still its 1.2 and i cant patch it to 1.3 HELP!!!!!

before you patch it, it is still retail 1.2. try installing a 1.3 patch, you might have downloaded the wrong patch

If u have collectors edition you will need ce patch, normal dosent work...

if you downloaded it, the game is patched. when you start the game, look in the upper right corner for the 1.2, after you download/install the patch this number should be 1.3

Hey, I have the same problem. I live in Australia and have the "Asia-Pacific" Collectors Edition. I have tryed to installed the UK CE 1.3 patch but even though the black box stays for a minute the game still says 1.2 when I open it.

I have tried all other patch files available.

This really sucks.

You say you tried them all, but did you go to the source? Check here: http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/NFS/carbon/ and see if you can find the one you need.

i know where to look for version and it still says 1.2...i play it without CD and before the patch was released i was playing it but now...NO i tried everything but still nothing
EDIT: i tried that site from GTR but still nothing

Sounds like you are using a no-cd patch. You must remove the no-cd exe and restore the original exe before the official patch to 1.3 will work.

hi im also facing the same problem.

likewise, im running the Asia-Pacific edition of NFSC. None of the patches work for me. i'm not using any no-cd patches of any kind. clean installation, the patch simply does not patch my game to 1.3.

when i run the patch, it shows a command-line window. approximately half a minute later, the window closes itself, without any notification whether if the patch was successful.

after running the patch, i go into NFSC. no dice, it still shows 1.2.

already tried running the patch in the carbon directory. please advise. thanks in advance

Download U.S version 1.3
Copy file to NFSCarbon's installed directory
Make sure that you have more than 3 Gig free hard space on drive in installed directory
I tried installing with less than 1 gig and it would not work
Click on file and wait a few minutes. updated. Black Box closed with no warning ,but it went from 1.2 to 1.3 for me

Have you replaced your no-cd exe with the original exe before patching?

Ok I'm using the US Collector's Edition and the patch is not working. Where exactly do you get the US patch? I've tried downloading it from websites like Gamer's Hell where it says it's the US patch but the .exe file says nfsc_patch1.3_collectors_englishuk, so is the UK patch the same one?

Anyways I put the patch in my NFSC folder, run it, the black box comes up but doesn't really do anything. It sits there for about a minute then closes, game still says v1.2. I definately have more then 3 gigs of HD space, it's installed on a 250 gig harddrive for christ's sake. 200Gigs of space left. I've never put a No-CD crack on it or any trainer, I just installed the game so it's as basic as it can be. So wtf is the deal, who the hell did EA have program this junk?

That's the UK Collector's Edition patch, like the filename says. You need the US patch. Get it here: http://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/NFS/carbon/

That website only has the UK Patch for the Collector's edition. I need the US version for the Collector's Edition.

EDIT: Nevermind, apparantly that patch under the regular "Need For Speed Carbon" section works for the Collector's Edition as well. Thanks for the help.
