Need for speed carbon, territory lost HELP

Hi everyone.
I have recently purchased nfsc, I installed it, and played it for a couple of hours.
I saved my game, turned my pc off.
The next day, i loaded my savegame, to find all territory i had taken, was lost. The map had been reset to the way it was from the beginning, but I still had all the money, the stuff i unlocked, and the car i had build.
Anyone know what might cause this?
