NFS Carbon Booting Problems!

When ever i try to boot NFS Carbon my screen goes black, then a 'NFS Carbon has encountered a problem and needs to close, sorry for the inconvenience.' message pops up
can someone help me?
I'm running on windows XP

Hmm, never encountered that before. Try downloading the 1.3 patch maybe?

We need more information about your system. Processor, processor speed, graphics card, amount of RAM, etc.
