NFSU freezing-NEED HELP!!!

When i start a race-single player or online-it`s no matter at start it freezes for 2-3 secs-and then it`s ok...
even when i press ESC or P(for pause) it again freezes for 2-3 secs and then i can use the in game menu..
and again-when i press-RESUME THE GAME it freezes for2-3 secs-and then it`s ok...
no lagging at all during the races...
only this freeezing....any suggestions how to "repair it",it really getting on my nerves...

Athlon AMD-2,2Ghz(overcklocked)(tried to put it to original-1,8Ghz-didn`t help)
768 DDR RAM
128 MB 64bit Daytona GeForce Fx
80Gb HDD
DX 9c
Nvidia driver Forceware 93,71 FX version...

BTW-played carbon-no problems at all....
