Nissan 350Z

Post by ViperJay »

hey guys, the beautiful models by V12 Vanquish, as those by Zak who seems to be disappeared, addicted me, so I wanted to try by myself to make a 3d model.
I had just begun this car, but then I left it. Now I've restarted :D
Tell me whatever you want, like/dislike, comments, opinions or suggestions...I'll be glad.
I start posting some part of the global car shell

tnx to V12 for the good comment, I hope I'll reach half skills you have :D

thanks all

edit: just one thing...be good with me, this is my first car!!!!

ok guys, thanks for your posts, I'm very happy you like it

@Stereo: thanks, but I've made it with a lot of time!!!!!! with practice skills improve
@_SHARKY_: thanks for the good opinion...I know, I'm just at the beginning...this worry me a lot
@^Sparco^: thanks to you too, but I don't think I'm so good to can make a tutorial now, there are lots of things I'm still ignoring in 3d modelling
@Exonn: I use 3D Studio Max 6, but I think Maya will be ok too (some people say it's more easy to use). I'm sure Maya has a demo version quite good to do this work, but don't know the link, sorry. V12 told he uses Cinema 4d, but I don't know anything about it, try asking him

I've some new screen to post, I've just mirrored the half body, added the side mirrors and some little adjustment.
I'll post a wire too, so you can tell me where I'm doing something wrong.
peace

You might want to work on some indentations for the headlights, but you've got the body shape correct, which is really the hardest thing to do. Good stuff.

hey exonn here is a tut for the basics of maya HERE - (http://www.animagraph.com.br/DeathBrain ... _page4.htm),

but here is a load of other tuts for maya there are a few car tuts (subaru, Focus, and Ferrari F2003) HERE - (http://www.learning-maya.com/modeling.php) :D 8) .
i only know all these cos i tried to learn it but i had the "Maya PLE" edition so i couldn't export as any other 3d format other than maya :( ,

thank you all guys, I've continued a bit today, try to making the lights...now I'm getting in real troubles :D
btw, excuse me if I show only the half body, but I have some "technical problem" (due to me :D ) in mirroring in perfect way.
as soon as I fix the problem I'll post better pics (if they are :D )
