Postby Jason_86 » 19 Jan 2005, 14:19

Can anyone tell me how to open NFSU or NFSU2 car with 3Ds max6 ?
Click the Import button but can't open it with "all formats" in file of type.

I doubt the models are directly compatible with 3DS (not entirely impossible though). Most likely atleast a conversion tool of sorts is needed, if such tools even exist.

Well, I'm using 3DSM 5.1, and it doesn't seem to capable of opening/importing ASE (ascii scene import) files ( it can export to ASE format).

Same propably true for 3DSM 6 aswell.

But almost all people use 3Ds max to edit the NFSU or NFSU2.....
Why I can't ?

Don't know, there must be something more to it...Most likely a file format other then ASE.

I'd like to be able to do it too, but it seems quite impossible.
I used the plug-in for 3ds to import NFSU1 cars, but never worked....

I can import .obj and .wrl into Blender, but my limited knowledge of Blender itself has stopped me from going further...
IF it don't cost anything, DON'T BUY IT!!
