I use both the Evo IX and Evo X. I prefer the IX because i modded it a bit more.

I might try using a lotus, or even a GTR... :D

Subaru Impreza
Mitsubishi Evo X
shiznit Evo IX
Toyota Supra
Nissan Skyline R34
Nissan GTR
Volkswagon Gti
THE iMPREZA DID THE BEST FOR ME,but the R34 was faster with more straight line speed.

in real world ill have to say the Nissan Skyline R33 GTR
because its a hell of a ride, plus im the owner of one and its terrific

um, in my opinion you should take a R34 as your main grip car, and bring a 240SX as a backup.

I had this combo, and it worked beautifully. The R34 can handle most tracks, and you don't need stage 3. You just get stage 3 suspension and tyres, and then everything else stage 2...

As for the 240 SX, just lightly upgrade it to stage 3 suspension and tyres, but only stage 1 for everything else. It's really slow, but can handly the tight tracks with ease, thanks to its light weight...

If you're loaded with cash, replace the R34 with a R35

The only thing annoying thing about the evo X is the time between gears. It is enormous!!

but otherwise, i would say it is a pretty good car...

911 Turbo, WRX STi is great as well, Evo X is quick in a straight line, but not good for some tight tracks, Seat Leon Cupra is a great little car in the early stages.

It's just too bad I can't get one...

And the Evo X can't handle tight corners like you said, mainly because it drifts around corners. I've always liked the Evo IX though.
